I'll be going to Paris tomorrow with my host family.
Hey, mom, do you remember a thirteen year old Alyce who sat crying in your old blue van because I didn't think I would ever go to Paris again? Hahahah. Oh, memories.
I'm sending a package out to my family when I get back on Monday, and hopefully on Tuesday I'll go see Avatar, and then Wednesday is my French test with Rotary. Wish me luck!!

I'll update this when I get back with a ton of pictures!
xx,
Alyce

  1. Um, Mom may not remember, but I certainly do. Goodness gracious. I'm so glad you were able to overcome obstacles and see Paris at least one more time before, I don't know, you turn 20? What an epic tragedy that would have been :). Love you!

  2. I do remember that! Honestly, I think what you have done and and where you have been and I am in awe. We have definitely raised some globally aware children. And Anna, it began with you.

I think of Thanksgiving this year: Anna was in Germany, Eric was in Argentina, and you were in Belgium. Wow!

  3. Hey Alyce I went to see Avatar today on the IMAX in 3-D. Wes Studi plays the chief. A lot of parallels to what happened before the Trail of Tears. Although the ending was quite different.

Say hi to Paris for me. And our house in Spokane reminds me of that place in Paris where you can sit on the steps and see Paris come alive as it starts to get dark.

    Love Dad
